Simie B. Platt, M.D.

He completed medical internship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center (NY) and his medical residency and cardiology fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine (NY). Dr. Platt then completed his electrophysiology training at Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, OH) before moving to Florida.

Dr. Platt has been an innovator in the field of electrophysiology since his arrival. He performed the first catheter ablation in Palm Beach County in November 1996 and was among the first physicians in the area to perform implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) and Bi-Ventricular ICD implantations. Dr. Platt has held several leadership positions at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center including Director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory, Chairman of the Department of Cardiology, Chairman of the Credentials Committee, and Chief of Staff.

Dr. Platt has specific interests in cardiac pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators, and catheter ablation. He has been an investigator on clinical research trials on cardiac resynchronization and defibrillator therapy.
